NAFSMA’s 2020 Annual Meeting Goes Virtual – Join us on August 11th and 12th!

NAFSMA Members and Colleagues,

Thank you to all who completed and submitted our survey on the National Association of Flood and Stormwater Management Agencies (NAFSMA) 2020 Annual Meeting. After reviewing the survey results and an in-depth discussion of how to move forward with this year’s Annual Flood and Stormwater Management Conference, the NAFSMA leadership has decided that the August meeting needs to be held virtually.

Although we are saddened we won’t be together in Park City this summer, this difficult decision was driven first and foremost for the safety of our membership and meeting participants and secondly to allow for participation and involvement by those currently under public and private company travel restrictions.

In making this decision, NAFSMA is determined to make this year’s meeting as interactive as possible and provide for dialogue with our speakers and participants. While this year has been challenging in so many ways, other issues of importance to our members such as water resources legislation including new water quality initiatives, National Flood Insurance Program Reauthorization, FEMA mapping mitigation activities and implementation of the agency’s new Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program.

To make it easier for folks to participate, we will be offering a reduced registration rate of $450 for this year’s Annual Meeting, which will be held virtually on Tuesday, August 11th and Wednesday, August 12th beginning at 10:30 am Eastern and concluding by 5 pm Eastern each day. 

For those who have already registered, we will be reaching out to you about refunds. Online registration for this year’s meeting is available below.  In addition to joining us yourselves, please encourage other members on your team and colleagues to join us as well.

General Sessions for all attendees will begin at 10:30 am Eastern and run through 5:00 pm on both Tuesday, August 11th and Wednesday, August 12th
