Waters of U.S. Rule Submitted to White House

The Administration's controversial "Waters of the United States" rule was submitted to the White House last week for interagency review by the Office of Management and Budget.  The advancement brings the rule one step closer to finalization after a lengthy consideration and development process.  It is unclear how long the rule will be in review though the original timetable expects it to be finalized in Spring 2015.

The rulemaking seeks to clarify a decades-long debate over the jurisdiction of the Clean Water Act.  NAFSMA filed comment on the rule which the organization believes is expansive and unclear.
